…and I’m back from Bali! Please allow me to tempt you with pictures from my trip.(:

The heat was crazy, and I thought the weather in KL was bad. Haha! But if sun, sea, sand and surf are all that you live for, Bali’s the bomb. It’s a really good place to go to if you just need time to bake, drink, eat, and get massages or surf.

Here’s listing a good few places for you to go check out if you’re travelling to Bali, Indonesia (or have the intention to)!

So, cheers and have all the fun if you’re thinking of booking your next big vacation!

Bvilla.seaside This place is gorgeous! Bvilla’s got a couple other Bvilla locations but this, as the name suggests is situated in close proximity with the sea. So the beach is but a 5 minutes walk away. You have a private pool to your villa, and a little living area that’s great to chill in. Also, a really great thing about this villa is the butler service that comes with it. Yup! They have butlers that come and prepare breakfast for you within your living area. Try the fried rice on their breakfast menu!

Warung Babi Guling Pak Malen It’s roast pork done authentic Indonesian way for all pork lovers! And Pak Malen’s roast portions are what’s recommended by just about every local you meet. Thumbs up for roast porkies!

Jl Sunset Road No. 5,
Seminyak, Bali 80361 Indonesia

Motel Mexicola Mexican wave! Incredibly quirky and every bit Mexican, this place is 100% restaurant and 0% motel, as suggested by its name. So instead of pulling in to tiny rooms, you’d be digging into amazing tacos, nachos, fajitas, quesadillas and more! Motel Mexicola is a feast for your eyes and appetite. It is incredibly happening at night, just so you know. Say ay yay yay!

The Junction Our first pit stop upon reaching our villa from the airport, this place serves up a mix of Indonesian cuisine, Western and Italian cuisines to satisfy your appetite. It’s a pretty sight at the corner of a bustling road, featuring an interesting façade of white washed planks that probably aged from rain and shine. And to complement it, its interior features tiers and tiers of jars tastefully filled to the brim with cooking spices. Lovely. Portions are a teeny tiny bit on the less generous side of the scale, but that’s good for sharing, I suppose.

10am – 11pm

KU DE TA Bali A chic little restaurant/chill out open space facing the sea that you can enjoy the sunset at while sipping on your beachy cocktails. You must try their Japanese dumplings and the apple mojito! Oh and, their spinning DJs are really good too. You can get their compilation CDs at the venue, or off iTunes. Yup! That’s how good they are.(:

Potato Head This place is by far my favourite hideout. Facing the sea as well, the setting sun is all yours if you’re willing to line up waaaaay before 11am and spend a minimum of Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) 500,000 to grab yourself one of those limited comfy seatings. There’s a pretty little bar in the pool too! So if the sun’s getting to you a little, take a plunge in the pool and waddle to the bar for a quick sip. The food is really good too, I must mention. Loving its Tomato Tartare! There’s even an Asian dining lounge and a French fine dining restaurant a floor above, rendering you spoilt for choice, really. Oh and, good to note that its hotel is on its way!

11am – 2am
Jl Petitenget
Seminyak, Bali 80361 Indonesia

Rock Bar As the name suggests, this little bar is situated off a cliff overlooking the blue, blue ocean. Limited seating but promising an equally good view from every one of them, have your drinks on the rock

Daily: 4pm – 1am (until 2am on Fri – Sun)

Body Works Scrub, scrub, rub a dub dub! So this was where I got my exfoliation bath, or better known to the locals as the Indonesian mandi luhur – a good two hours of massage, scrub, yogurt soak and a floral bath, leaving your skin smooth as a baby’s bottom (thanks to the yogurt, really!). There’s a lot of other stuff you can choose to do – hair cut, mani/pedicure and more variations of massage. And there’s plenty to treat the gents to too!

Balm Massage So I came here just about every other day. Haha! Tried their foot massage, body massage, and kept coming back for more. They are good, and their treatments are so affordable you could get massages twice in a day (just like I did!).
