A LITTLE PIECE OF MELBOURNE

dinner@meatworks

I probably don’t have to say it for many to already know that I miss Melbourne – the weather, the food (Max Brenner and KFC chips at the forefront), the walks, the trams and the sights.

So last Sunday, I was thrilled to relive what felt like a simple piece of Melbourne, done locally. It was a wet evening and the family headed out to dine at MeatWorks at Citta Mall. From the fairy lights in the carpark to the open, breezy dining concept – everything reminded me of Melbourne.

Food’s good if you’re into beef. If not, there’s always poultry and fish! And not forgetting the little grocer right by the diner, neat place if only it were better stocked. It really is like a little piece of Melbourne, I tell you.(:

  1. Next time you & the boy come to Melbourne, let me know. I’ll take you to Meat Mother in Richmond. The cuisine is American BBQ and it’s very good!
